This was our first foodie break and it gave us a taste for it.

La brocante d'automne takes place in the historic part of town. It's massive. It's well balanced between professional dealers and local people. It's very

popular so make sure you've booked your accomodation well in advance. We spent the weekend at La Villa Saint Antoine it's not cheap but it's right in the

centre of town by the river la Sèvre Nantaise. lovely view, great terrasse overlooking the weir.

In the afternoon we went for a long walk along the river and we visited le domaine de la Garenne Lemot and its park. We tried  le restaurant de la Vallée in the

evening,  great food lovely view.

We finished our weekend with some wine tasting,  le Chateau du Cléray is not to be missed. Super weekend  never a dull moment and a few bargains .

The date for the next brocante d'automne hasn't been decided yet so check with the tourist information next spring.

If you happen to spend some time in Paris this could be usefull it won't ruin you...
